EDOM 1: the newsletter origins

Each Day, One More was conceived as a way to keep friends and family up to date on my personal life and progress in Walking for Vice President.
The first issue was published on 2 June 2021 as a 4-page printed newsletter. I loved designing print layout and being able to hand someone physical literature. Also, not existing in an electronic format made it feel a bit more grassroots. However, the layout was an extra step and so was mailing it out. Given that it was difficult enough to sit down and write the copy, it meant that issue two was taking a lot longer than expected: two years later and it still wasn’t done.
Yielding to practicality, I decided that I would publish a smaller newsletter more frequently, and that I would use a medium that is employed by pretty much everyone: e-mail.
On 18 June 2023, EDOM 2 was emailed out to a BCC’d list of fifteen now-well-informed mun. Less than two months later EDOM 3 was already out. Already twelve times faster! Not bad. I sent out EDOM 4 today before writing this article.
I am going to try using Substack (i.e. what you are reading right now) to post new issues of EDOM and to manage the email list. And for the sake of historical record, I will post previously published EDOM. So below is a PDF of the first issue of Each Day, One More.
